How the financing calculator works

You set the car price, the down payment and the loan term, and the calculator returns the loan amount, the interest rate it has applied, the monthly payment and the total cost. Loan terms run from 12 to 84 months, in steps of one year. A down payment of at least 20 per cent of the car price is recommended. The figures are an estimate to help you plan; the final terms come from the bank once your application is approved.
